Open Nuclear Network – Crisis Simulation
The mission of One Earth Future‘s Open Nuclear Network (ONN) program is to reduce the risk of nuclear weapons use through innovation, inclusion and dialogue, ensuring that nuclear weapons are not used in response to human or technical error. As part of a training workshop, ONN needed a video to engage participants in discussion and dialogue around a simulated nuclear threat scenario.
The video mimics a Southeast Asian news broadcast reporting on a nuclear threat in the fictional country of Pandan. While the story, location, and characters are fictional, the video’s aim was to generate important insights into real world nuclear threats.
